NioSkin™ RCL40 [Red Clover]

Red clover is the preferred natural source of isoflavones as free aglycones. Nioskin RCL40 has been formulated with the superior concentrated and standardized Red Clover Extract 40% isoflavones in their ready- active form.

A study on skin elasticity was carried out on 12 subjects by evaluating the reduction of the

• Young’s elastic modulus (E),
• Time Retention (R)
• Viscoelasticity (VE )

The volunteers were required to apply a 2% O/W cream twice a day for a period of 4 consecutive weeks, on the forearm inner side and on the face. A formulation without NioSkin was used as control. Results show that topical application of 2% NioSkin RCL40 produces a significant increase in skin elasticity after 2 weeks, reaching the maximum value after 28 days.

A study on skin thickness and dermal density was carried out on 18 subjects by Dermascan Ultra-sound High Resolution Image Analysis, a new non-invasive methodology for the in-vivo study of the skin aging process. The volunteers were required to apply a 2% O/W emulsion twice a day for a period of 8 consecutive weeks, on the forearm inner side.
A formulation without NioSkin was used as control. Results show that topical application of 2% NioSkin RCL40 produces a significant increase in skin thickness and dermal density.

NIOSKIN RCL40 has been tested on TEWL and Corneometric Skin Hydration showing significant improvement.
