Basil leaf extract, obtained by filtration after a long soaking of the plant in a mixture of water and vegetable glycerin.
Rich in chlorophyll, polyphenols and flavonoids, as well as compounds such as rosmarinic acid, all of which have a known antioxidant effect.
Basil extract exhibits anti-inflammatory properties, the mechanism of which is a complex interplay between pro-inflammatory mediator inhibition and anti-inflammatory cytokine stimulation.
